Trail Routes

Registered participants will start on the newly constructed, paved section of the Johnny Cash Trail behind the Folsom Rodeo Arena and head across the 190-foot long wooden Robbers’ Ravine Bridge while taking in breathtaking views of the American River Canyon.

The course continues along the Johnny Cash Trail through Folsom State Prison property and through the new bike/ pedestrian tunnel constructed under Prison Road at Natoma Street. Participants continue on the trail toward the Johnny Cash Bridge that spans Folsom Lake Crossing.

The 4.2-mile run/ walk is an out-and-back course with a turn around and water station just beyond the Johnny Cash Trail Bridge. Participants cross the Robbers’ Ravine Bridge again on their return before crossing the finish line.

The 6.2-mile run and community bike ride participants will continue over the Johnny Cash Trail Bridge to the Folsom Lake Trail along Folsom Lake Crossing. From there, the course transitions to the Jedidiah Smith Memorial Trail and continues to the historic Truss Bridge towards Leidesdorff Street in Folsom’s Historic District.

Runners will proceed to the Robbers’ Ravine Bridge for a final crossing before reaching the finish line, and cyclists will complete their ride on Stafford Street.
