The City of Folsom plans to create a world-class, interactive public art project to celebrate and honor Johnny Cash, the man and his music, and the connection that will always be strong with this special city. The project includes eight sculptures and a 3-acre park which will expand the use of the Folsom bike trail system, as well as provide an extraordinary art experience for Johnny Cash fans near and far.
Be a part of the ultimate art experience and tribute to the legendary Johnny Cash. The Folsom Arts Association is accepting contributions in order to complete the trail, park, and art installations that pay homage to one of America’s most inspirational musical figures.
“I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down, livin' in the hopeless, hungry side of town,
I wear it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime,
but is that because he's a victim of the times.”
