OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY
Own 1 of 100 limited edition "JCASH 50" license plate collectible commemorating the 50th anniversary of Cash’s Folsom Prison performance.
The JCASH 50 commemorative license plates are made inside Folsom Prison, at the California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA) manufacturing facility. More than 100 inmates work in the prison license plate manufacturing facility, and produce all of the license plates for every vehicle in the State of California.
Only 100 of these collectibles will be produced. They are authorized and produced by CALPIA, DMV, the John R. Cash Revocable Trust, and the City of Folsom in celebration of the 50th anniversary of this incredible music event.
On Jan 13, 1968, Johnny Cash recorded a live album in front of an audience of inmates and guards at Folsom Prison. The performance and album launched the country musician into a worldwide superstar, and had an indelible impact on the City of Folsom.
