The weather may be turning frightful but winter events in Folsom are simply delightful. From family-friendly ice skating and tree-lighting events to shopping and craft fairs, there's a lot of fun to be had in Folsom this winter. Check out the events we're marking on calendars below and get to snow what's going on (sorry we couldn't help ourselves).

Folsom Ice Rink - Nov. 10, 2023

Stop, collaborate, and listen; the Ice Rink is back with a brand new edition. But seriously, Folsom Historic District's Ice Rink opened November 10th and is open to all! Custom made in Italy, the ice rink has a whole new look with ice mats, new dashers, and is themed to fit the historic district it lives in. It's open for the whole skating season and is located in the plaza around the turntable. Contact the Folsom Ice Rink to book a private party or purchase tickets in advance. Visit their website

Christmas Tree Lighting - Dec. 1, 202,

Walkin' around the Christmas Tree in Folsom's Historic District is a must this December. On December 1st at 7:30 p.m. (sharp!), you can watch the magic unfold and have a wonderful evening along Sutter St. and around the plaza. Events start at around 4 p.m. with Elsa making it snow, and festivities continue until 8:30 p.m. with live music, vendors, and tons of other activities for everyone to enjoy. Parking tends to fill up fast, so make sure that you plan accordingly or check out the SacRT QR code here for the free rides they're offering that day.

Enjoy the whole night with merchants and restaurants open late (and don't forget to visit the ice rink while you're there; purchase those tickets here

55th Annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair - Dec. 3, 2023

85 vendors not enough? How about 175+? Opening on December 3rd, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Folsom's Historic District will be full of artisan crafters, strolling musicians, donation-based face painters, food vendors, and, of course, the Historic District merchants and restaurants. Find unique, quality, handcrafted items, and enjoy warm and delicious food, all while enjoying the live music around you. Oh, and did we mention that the ice rink will be open, too? As with almost all district events, they expect a large attendance, so make sure you plan accordingly.

12 Days of Christmas Sip and Shop - Dec. 8 & 9, 2023

12 Days of Christmas? Or 12 Days of Sipness? I think we know what we all prefer, and lucky for us, the Folsom Community Center has us covered. On December 8th & 9th, grab a glass of wine (or hot chocolate), dessert, and a raffle ticket. Tour a wide variety of vendors, find unique gifts for the holidays, and cross your fingers for your name to be called at the raffle. As one of the biggest shopping events of the year with tons of charming stalls to enjoy, if the drinks don't make it fun enough, this merry event is bound to bring you cheer.
