If the holidays just aren't the same without Cash's cover of "Silent Night" or a rewatch of his '77 Holiday Special, you're in good company. Discover three ways to include the Man in Black in your holiday celebrations this year if you're a Johnny Cash enthusiast or searching for the perfect gift for a fan.

Listen to Cash's Classic Christmas Music

Brighten up your fireside evenings this winter by putting on one of Johnny Cash's holiday albums. The Man in Black recorded four Christmas albums over the course of his career, giving fans plenty of seasonal favorites to enjoy.

  1. The Christmas Spirit was Cash's first holiday album. The 1963 record included classics like "Blue Christmas" as well as four original carols written by Cash.
  2. The Johnny Cash Family Christmas was released almost a decade later in 1972. Cash penned a new holiday hit for this album, "Christmas With You," and reprised two of his songs from The Christmas Spirit. The album features familiar voices like June Carter Cash, the Carter Family, the Statler Brothers, Carl Perkins, and more.
  3. Classic Christmas was released in 1980 and features Christmas classics like "Joy to the World" and "Silent Night."
  4. Country Christmas was Cash's final Christmas album, released in 1991. It features favorites like "O Christmas Tree" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas." Cash is accompanied by June Carter Cash and the Carter Family on several tracks. The 2006 reissue added other Cash classics like "Ring of Fire" and "Walk the Line."

Or, you can make your loved ones part of Cash's legacy here in Folsom by contributing to the Folsom Cash Art Trail in their name. This contribution would support the installation of breathtaking, larger-than-life sculptures along the trail.
