The City of Folsom is partnering with the Wildwood Performing Arts Foundation to present the second annual Folsom Americana Fest, a 4-part series of outdoor concerts benefitting Folsom's Johnny Cash Trail.

Showcasing special guests from around the United States and regional musicians from genres including roots country, bluegrass, rockabilly, and folk, and partnering with local wine, beer, and food vendors, you’re not going to want to miss this 4-weekend concert series.

July 15, 2022: Kick-off Event with Music by the HawtThorns
Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Folsom
The doors open at 7:15 pm for this kick-off event at the Arthur Murray Dance Center in Folsom. Enjoy music by the HawtThorns, an Americana music duo performing their blend of country-rock, acoustic ballads, and southern soul songs.

July 16, 2022: Ben and Noel Haggard & The Strangers
Dan Russell Rodeo Arena
Get ready for 5 hours of country-Americana music plus food trucks, beer, wine, and goods from local vendors during the July 16 event at the Dan Russell Rodeo Arena! Headlined by sons of iconic country legend Merle Haggard, Ben and Noel Haggard with The Strangers.
New this year: reserved and general admission seating available, plus kick up your heels at the new dance arena, sponsored by Arthur Murray Dance Center Folsom. Gates open at 4:30 pm.

August 19, 2022: Young Artists Battle of the Bands, Pt. 1
Zittel Family Amphitheater
Don't miss the first annual Battle of the Bands in Folsom! Solos, duets, and bands will get their opportunity to perform on stage at the Zittel Family Amphitheater, competing for a chance to win a spot at the big final festival on October 22. Gates open at 5:00 pm, so come out and cheer on your local artists at this free public event as they fight for a spot on the big stage.

August 20, 2022: Brotherly Mud

Free to the public! Bring the family and a picnic blanket or lawn chairs out to the Amphitheater for an evening of free music from local artists Brotherly Mud. Look for food, beer, wine, and reserved seating opportunities. This free to the public event is courtesy of the Folsom Historic District. Gates open at 5:00 pm.

October 22, 2022: Texas Hill

Don’t miss the final Americana Fest concert featuring nine hours of music from country, bluegrass, rockabilly, and folk artists, plus food trucks, vendors, beer, and wine. Dance arena sponsored by Arthur Murray Dance Center Folsom. Gates open at 11:30 am.
The final Americana Fest concert is headlined by country artist Texas Hill, with performances by John Carter Cash, son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, and Carter Family member (and niece to June Carter Cash) Lorrie Carter Bennett.

The Art Experience is Coming to the Johnny Cash Trail
The Johnny Cash Trail completed construction in 2018, and the community has waited patiently for the next phase of this one-of-a-kind project to come to life. The Art Experience, seven world-class interactive public art sculptures, is now being brought to the trail.
Folsom recently announced that local artist Adan Romo is moving forward with the fabrication and installation of Cash's Pick, the first artwork to be installed along the Johnny Cash Trail.
